Jennifer Carbrey, PhD (she/her/hers)

Jennifer is an Assistant Research Professor in the Cell Biology Department. She obtained a BS degree in Biochemistry from Clemson University and a PhD degree from the Department of Biological Chemistry at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the lab of Dr. Peter Agre. In 2005 she came to Duke and joined the faculty as the manager of Dr. Agre’s lab. In 2008 she transitioned to a position primarily focused on teaching first year medical students. Jennifer is the course director for the cell biology and physiology portions of the Foundations of Patient Care 1 course in the first year medical student curriculum. She is committed to improving the learning environment for the trainees in the Cell Biology department and Duke’s medical students.
