Oluwadamilola (Olu) Lawal (He/his/him)

Representative, Graduate Student

Olu is a Ph.D. student studying the role of astrocyte-secreted protein, thrombospondin, in goal-directed action learning and performance. He attained a bachelor’s of science degree in psychology and biology from Stony Brook University and Medgar Evers College. After his admission to the Neurobiology Ph.D. Program, he joined the lab of Dr. Cagla Eroglu, a primary faculty in the Cell Biology Program. Before his current role as a student representative on the EDI Committee, Olu was the president of the Duke African Graduate and Professional Student Association (DAGPSA). Olu is committed to promoting equity, inclusion, and outreach in STEM.
