Award: $500 to be deposited into a discretionary fund for use by the awardee.

Trainee Award

Eligibility: PRIMARY Cell Biology department graduate students or postdocs (grad students or postdocs who have a primary affiliation with another department but perform research in a Cell Biology lab do not qualify for this award).
Award: $500 to be deposited into a discretionary fund for use by the awardee.

Nomination Details

  • Nominations by a colleague or self-nominations are both welcome.

  • Nominations should be up to a page and should detail the contributions of the individual to DEI within or outside of Duke.

  • The Cell Biology DEI committee has recused themselves from this award and will select the recipients based on merit after evaluating the nominees.
