Vacation pictures from Harold Erickson
Several trips for fishing or touring from 1990. I don't take many
pictures myself, but got some nice ones from friends on the trip.

Boundary waters - several trips in 1990's

- Here are some pictures of Harold, Vann and Lisa Bennett
- And in 1998, Harold went with Joe and Sean McNichols

- And let's not forget the great peacock bass, caught on the Rio
Negro (off the Amazon) March 1997.
And now for the great Safari, 1998. Carol and Peter Girardin and
Harold spent two weeks in Botswana
Photos mostly by Peter, some by Carol.

- We spent the first night in Johannesberg, then flew to Maun,
Botswana. A night in a motel/camp and then we took off in the
landrovers to the Ngai Pan, the Magdgaligali park in the northern
part of the Kalahari desert. The first day we saw these
spectacular Baobab trees (we saw a few more at different places.
After 10 days of camping and game drives (riding in a landrover at
slow speed looking for animals) we finished up at a resort hotel
at Victoria Falls. See Carol's panorama views of Baobab trees and
Vic Falls.

- Of course we saw lions, but even rarer were the wild dogs. A
yellow billed stork is mixed in this page of photos. The pictures
of the leapord are missing, presumed stolen by National
Geographic.

- Birds, incredible birds. Some were so common we had to force
Peter to take pictures. Of course he needed no encouragement to
photograph the eagles. And check out the Kori
Bustard, the world's largest bird that can fly (what's larger?
an ostrich of course, we don't have any pictures of them). And a
very nice goose. Perhaps most impressive
impressive of all were the marabou
storks mating.

And the best animals of all, Peter
Carol and Harold at Vic Falls, and Carol
and Harold in a restaurant.
